Morning with grandpa

I took this photo of my dad with Addie a couple days ago. It's been so nice having her granddads visiting and helping out. I've also enjoyed seeing how they do things differently around the house. I even picked up a couple tips on more efficient baking and laundry.

Rolling over at 15-weeks-old

Yesterday evening Addie rolled over from her back to her tummy for the first time!!! With the help of Coach Grandpa Kunkel she just blossomed. Check out the video. At 12 weeks she rolled over from tummy to back and I thought that was neat. Pretty soon she'll be crawling and then walking! We really need to get on the task of baby-proofing the house.

Bad choice? I think not.

A couple of my friends have asked me if I think I'm making a bad decision in quitting my job. Well just take a look at this smiling little girl ... I think I made a good choice.

Adeline is a lucky baby

On my second day back to work one of my co-workers, who is also a mother, emailed me this after I told her I was missing Adeline...

"So I'm going to be perfectly honest with you: It doesn't actually 'get better.' You are going to miss your baby every day you are at work. Eventually, you just get used to missing her and then every once in a while you think: Fuck it. I'm quitting. But you don't quit. And somehow this becomes your life until she starts kindergarten. It ain't pretty, Lisa."

Well I decided I don't want to get used to missing my daughter. And why should a stranger or day care center raise my daughter when my husband has a good job. So...I quit.

I quit the newspaper to be a stay-at-home mom.

Baby girl's first Easter

My mom made Adeline her first Easter dress. So so so so cute. And let us remember that.... Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!
