We spent the July 4th holiday with JD's family in Wyoming. The stay was extra special because the Anglins (sans Aunt Gail) were visiting from Indiana. It was their first time meeting Adeline. And oh what fun we had. Yes I know, there are no photos of fireworks but you must realize how much self-control it took for me not to photograph Addie with a sparkler...Well enjoy a couple highlight photos from the weekend back in July.

This photo was taken back on July 6th in Yellowstone.
It was a monumental occasion because over the July 4th weekend Adeline -- with the help of her Aunt Tephie, Grandma and second-cousins -- learned how to sit up by herself. This photo captures the first time JD and I watched as she sat by herself.

A visit from Uncle Tom

Adeline got a surprise visit from my brother Tom this last week. Here we are in Missoula enjoying his visit from Vermont. Also pictured is my parent's dog Rhett -- who by the way doesn't seem to like Addie so much...he's realized she gets more attention from grandma and grandpa than he does!

Happy 1st Birthday Lil' Denny

Caderyn, left, and Adeline helped little Denny, center, celebrate his first birthday a couple weeks ago. Denny's parents threw a lovely party up in Lincoln. Addie even won a present (the pink pony in her hand) in the fishing pond.

This girl is too funny

Last night Adeline fell asleep in the bathtub. No joke.
It was soooo funny and our laughing didn't even wake her up. My cousin Karla was visiting from Missoula last night and we decided to give Addie a bath (a usual bedtime routine) Even though it was obvious she was tired, I thought the bath would wake her up. But as soon as her body slipped into the warm water ... she slipped into a warm nap.

Mama drama

Mama drama...part 2: Adeline wakes up at 6 a.m. -- she usually wakes up at 9 a.m. -- but it's okay, we get up and walk around the house. A couple minutes later I lay her back down in her crib while I make a quick breakfast. I return to her room to find the largest, smelliest, dirtiest, foulest diaper I have ever seen my little princess produce. (no wonder she woke up early) The terrible part of this diaper blowout is not only is Addie wearing a white outfit but we were using a very cheap diaper and it didn't work...at all. So I get her cleaned up, clean her outfit and change her sheets. I decide to try and lay her back down but couldn't find a pacifier. So we walk into my room and find one near my pillow. While holding Addie I lean over to grab it and she vomits all over my bed. So I clean her up and change my sheets. She returns to her crib and finally takes a short nap.
And that was 20 minuets of my morning last week.
Lesson learned, don't buy cheap diapers.

Seriously?!

We even tried to slip in a little banana but she didn't buy it.

Three cheers for summer

Our apologies for the absence of recent photos these last couple weeks.

It's summer....and we have been SO BUSY!

These are some of the things keeping JD, Adeline and I busy since our last post on June 23rd.....camping, swimming, rodeos, motorcycle riding, parades, grandparents, Wyoming sunsets, cribbage, Yellowstone, picnics, boat rides, sapphire mining, family from Minnesota, barbecues, fishing, more swimming, family from Indiana, music in the park, hiking, grandparents and Aunties, laying in hammocks, campfires, friends, road trips, lounging in a tee pee, canoeing, fireworks .... AND .... Addie can now crawl!!!
