Gotta love grandparents
We had a fantastic weekend. JD's mom Cathy came to visit Addie. Which meant Friday night JD and I actually got to go out! He went and played poker with his guy friends while I went with my ladies to Sarah's birthday/Silpada/desserts/champagne party. Then we met up downtown. Yes, we went downtown.
After the birthday party my friend Amy and I made a pit stop before heading downtown. I'm a little hesitant to admit this but we stopped off for coffee. (And would you believe there are no coffee shops open in Helena at 9pm?!) So we went to Safeway. After buying coffee, tums and baby yogurt (it was on sale!) we headed to the bar.
After one drink I was ready to go home but we didn't quite make it home till midnight.
It was really fun to get to spend time with friends and my husband without the baby. The best part...Cathy took care of Addie Saturday morning and I got to sleep in till 10:30 - victory!
We had a fun day Saturday shopping and spending time with grandma, capping off the day cheering on the Carroll College men's basketball team.
Unfortunately I woke up this morning sick, sick, sick. I think my body punished me for staying out so late Friday night.

Little artists
Today my friend Amy invited Adeline and I to come over and finger paint with her and her daughter Mesa (pictured above with her bright yellow finger)
Amy, a former school teacher, was in her element whereas Addie and I...well as you can see from her face in the picture at right, Addie wasn't too enthused about the paint on her hands. Mesa was very interested in painting on her tummy, which led to one of Addie's favorite things...bath time.
And the girls had a blast!
Oh so cozy and cute together!
